The instant messaging platform once again became demanding with its users regarding the use of alternative apps.

Through its official website, WhatsApp issued an ultimatum to people whose account is temporarily suspended for using unauthorized applications such as WhatsApp Plus or GB WhatsApp.

"If after your account has been temporarily suspended you don't start using the official version of WhatsApp, your account could be permanently suspended," he says.

Although the use of these complementary applications was common for a considerable time, the platform owned by Facebook resolved to no longer tolerate the use of these alternatives developed by third parties.

WhatsApp Plus allowed its users to customize their WhatsApp account, something not very possible within the original application.

"Unsupported applications, such as WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, or those that claim to be able to move your WhatsApp chats from one phone to another, are altered versions of WhatsApp. These unofficial applications are developed by third parties and violate our Terms of Service. WhatsApp does not endorse the use of these third-party applications because it is not possible to validate their security practices ”, they emphasized.

WhatsApp has been in the news in recent days for its announcements about changes in its terms and conditions, which, if not accepted by users, would lead to the elimination of their accounts.
